31st H&S edition. Pictorial dust jacket over red cloth boards. 295pp. Quite a rare edition, printed during WWII. Used as the basis for the movie 'The Mysterious Rider' and the US TV series 'Mark of the Avenger'. The trope is the returning hero exacts revenge on his previous wrongdoers, and reclaims what is his (his ranch). This is also the basic story of many popular westerns, including Clint Eastwood films.
