Originally published in French in 1895, and then in English in 1896, this work was entitled The Floating Island, and subsequently published, in an abridged version, in 1961 by Arco as Propeller Island. This work is set in the 20th Century. It tells the story of the inhabitants of a man-made floating, propelled island.
